Do you want to know what are the upcoming Bollywood movies on streaming platforms releasing soon?
Covid-19 pandemic has changed the world in many ways. It has a very deep impact in the field of the finance market, automobile, jobs, environment, travel & tourism, and entertainment too.
All the movies that are scheduled for 2020 to release the big screen, ever since the pandemic hit, multiplexes, and halls have been shut down. But the evolution of OTT platforms has changed the dynamics of entertainment now.
With the almost 3 months of lockdown and the aftermath of lockdown, it is not safe to wander around in the malls and watch movies in the air-conditioned Inox or PVR theatres. Here, come to the rescue of all the subscription-based digital platforms.
We have already seen a few Bollywood new releases that got a direct OTT release like ‘Gulabo Sitabo,’ Tamil movie ‘Penguin.’ Now with the current situation, the movie industry has decided to release its movies directly on the OTT platforms.
With so many platforms available now, different movies are getting a release at different platforms. It has become now easier to watch movies at home on your pajamas. All you need now is to have a subscription to the digital platforms.
Let’s dig in and see what all the movies are coming on which OTT platforms.
The following are the upcoming Bollywood movies on streaming platforms releasing
Dil Bechara (Disney + Hotstar)
The demise of Sushant Singh Rajput has made a big controversy about the Bollywood industry. It’s been just a few days when it grabbed everyone’s attention that the movie is soon going to get a release on 24th July on Disney + Hotstar.
The film is inspired by John Green’s book ‘The Fault in Our Stars.’ You can say the movie is a remake of the Hollywood film of the same name.
The film is said to be a tribute to late Sushant Singh Rajput, and you will see Sanjana Sanghi opposite to Sushant onscreen.
Laxmmi Bomb (Disney + Hotstar)
With the theatres closed during the pandemic threat, Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead role film ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ will soon be streaming on Disney + Hotstar on 24th July.
The movie is an official remake of Tamil hit film ‘Kanchana.’ The poster of the film looks promising, and since it is a Akshay Kumar starring film, there are chances that it will be a good one.
If you see the record of his past few films, they are incredibly well, so I hope ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ won’t be a disappointment.
Bhuj (Disney + Hotstar)
From the tweet of Ajay Devgn, his upcoming movie’ Bhuj: The Pride of India’ is going to be streaming on Disney + Hotstar. The film is based on a true story featuring Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role along with Ajay Devgn.

Know the story of Gunjan Saxena?
Well, Dharma Production and Zee Studios’ collaboration film ‘Gunjan Saxena’ features Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role.
The story is inspired by the life of India’s first-ever woman Air Force officer to fly into a war zone during the 1999 Kargil War.
It’s an inspirational story and a tribute to her for exhibiting her bravery and valor.
So, the movie is coming soon on Netflix. I hope Janhvi Kapoor proved her acting skill in this film and shut up the trolls that every day is popping out on social media concerning ‘nepotism.’
Shakuntala Devi (Amazon Prime Videos)
Vidya Balan starring movie ‘Shakuntala Devi’ is a biographical film inspired by the life of late Shakuntala Devi, an Indian writer and an extraordinary person who can solve complex calculations and numerical within a second. She was given the name of ‘Human-Computer.’
Influenced by her story and life, filmmaker Anu Menon has made a film on her casting Vidya Balan as the titular role. After Gulabo Sitabo, Amazon Prime Video is soon going to release ‘Shakuntala Devi.’

Masaba Masaba (Netflix)
Netflix has recently revealed its list of upcoming Netflix Original Bollywood movies. Among the many “Masaba Masaba” is a film based on the real-life of fashion designer Masaba Gupta.
Her unique, and diverse cultural background has inspired her fashion world and her relationship with her mother, Neena Gupta. The release date hasn’t yet mentioned, but, predictably, it will soon going to stream on Netflix India.
Raat Akeli Hai (Netflix)
Netflix Original film “Raat Akeli Hai” stars Radhika Apte, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Aditya Srivastava, Ila Arun, Timanshu Dhulia and a few other supporting casts.
Debutant director Honey Trehan’s new movie revolves around a police officer (Siddiqui) who investigates a murder case in a small town. As he digs deeper, he unravels some toxic dark past of the victim’s family.
The plot sounds exciting enough and suspenseful.
A Suitable Boy (Netflix)
BBC original “A Suitable Boy” is a Vikram Seth adaptation of the bestselling novel. The story follows a university student Lata Mehra who defies conventional stereotype tradition. Nothing much that I can say, so we have to wait until it releases.
Bombay Begums (Netflix)
Alankrita Shrivastava created “Bombay Begums” that depicts a tale of five women of different generations who portrays stories of their struggle, desire, personal crisis, ambition, etc., how the life of each woman affects throughout their journey in the contemporary world.

Alankrita Shrivastava is also directing “Dolly Kitty Aur Who Chamakte Sitare” set in the outskirts of New Delhi. The story follows the chronicle of two young female cousins their complicated equation and their way to find freedom.
The film is a Balaji Telefilms production starring Vikrant Massey, Amol Parashar, and Aamir Bashir.
Bombay Rose (Netflix)
Written and directed by Gitanjali Rao “Bombay Rose” is a 2019 Indian animated film that Netflix has acquires to feature on its platform in the upcoming months. The film had its first premiere at the 2019 Venice Film Festival.
It is a sweet and beautiful tale Kamala, lives in the streets of Bombay escaping from the child marriage and finding love in a boy named Salim. It portrays a beautiful story of two-person of a different religion.
With more and more movies are releasing digitally, I think the time isn’t far when multiplexes will be doomed if they don’t adapt themselves with the current time.
