Still a section of people who enjoys watching entertainment movies. Take, for example, the very recent comedy genre of the film ‘Housefull 4.’ After watching the trailer of the film, I couldn’t even believe that people have even enjoyed watching the film. Why?

Gully Boy

Well, Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ is India’s official submission to the Oscars in the category of Best International Feature Film. The film tells the story of a person who fights for his dream to come true.

It is based on a true story where the protagonist belongs from a poor family, but to keep his dream alive of becoming a rapper, he fights till the end. It is not the story that touches the soul of people, but the way it has shown the character has moved millions of people.

Actor Ranveer Singh has given the best performance of his life, I believe. The music throughout the film carries smoothly with all the beats and hip-pop music. It is different from what we usually listen to.

Undoubtedly, Gully Boy has received several awards and appreciation for presenting to its audience something new, unique, and off the track.

Dream Girl

Ayushmann Khurrana has set a benchmark for himself as well as for the industry. He is now known for playing offbeat characters in his movies that depict stories of everyday life yet exclusive.

‘Dream Girl’ is just like that where the lead actor played the role of a young man with a talent for female impersonation who works in a ‘friendship call center’, lending her voice to seduce lonely men.

The theme is itself unimaginable. The film is full of elements of comedy, witty dialogues, twist in the climax, and of course delivers a social message.

In all the movies of Ayushmann, the script is based on the stories of ordinary people in the small town. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Article 15, Badhaai Ho, all delivers a social message and deals with social issues that we don’t talk about much.

Article 15

The next best Bollywood new movies of 2019 would be Article 15. Although the storyline is nothing new, it talks about the very much prevalent social issues like caste, racism, and discrimination. But Article 15 has executed the story in a very delicate manner with much precision in each matter and character.

The movie has shown many disturbing aspects of our society, which will make you uncomfortable while watching. Things that we don’t talk about openly, those serious subject matters have been shown.

I would say, if you still haven’t watched the movie, then you can stream it online.

The Sky is Pink

Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky is Pink’ was in the theatres last month i,e October. The movie is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, who is a motivational speaker and died of a genetic condition in the very early stage of life.

Aisha is telling the story from her grave about her parent’s love, their struggles in raising her, and how they were always together till her last breath. There have been several movies about people dealing with deaths, but I feel this movie is emotional as well as entertaining. Amidst all the sorrow and death bed, the story has sentimentality and quirkiness of characters.

There are several spine-chilling moments, and especially, ‘How’s the Josh’ dialogue has become popular nationwide.

Batla House

John Abraham starring film ‘Batla House’ tells about Operation Batla House, which took place on 19th September 2008. For the first time ever, I liked the performance of John Abraham as a police officer who played the lead role. A great narrative and screenplay, the focus of the entire film has remained only on the incident that happened and the later stories of the operation.
